Plymouth Rock has sponsorships with the Bruins, Patriots, and Red Sox. Normally, you’d do ads for each separate team. But in a rabid sports town like Boston, fandom crosses from one franchise to another. So, we just put every team in every ad. Which led to the sitcom construct – where random characters hang out, regardless of alliances.
